Keep originals + 2 photocopies. Prefer DigiLocker where allowed. Confirm live dates only on the official TNEA portal.

1) Identity and school

• 10th mark sheet
• 12th mark sheet (or available mark statement)
• Transfer Certificate (TC)
• Community certificate (if claiming reservation)
• Nativity / Permanent Residence Certificate (if required)
• Aadhaar card (name must match certificates)
• Passport-size photos (recent)

2) Counselling / portal

• TNEA registration confirmation / login details
• Printed application / acknowledgement
• Choice-filling shortlist notes (college + branch order)
• Income certificate (if scholarship / fee concession)
• First graduate certificate (if applicable)
• Special reservation proof (ex-servicemen, differently-abled, etc.)

3) After allotment

• Allotment order printout
• Fee payment receipt / DD details as asked by college
• Joining report / college reporting checklist
• Hostel form (if needed)
• Medical fitness certificate (if college asks)

Parent tips

• Check name spelling on every certificate before verification day.
• Do not pay anyone for a “guaranteed seat”.
