Who manages state quota counselling
Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department (TNHEFW) through its online portal. The process is separate from the MCC portal. Check the official Tamil Nadu health department website for the schedule.
Steps in state quota counselling
- Registration: Apply on the state portal within the open window. Upload NEET scorecard, 12th marksheet, community and nativity certificates.
- Certificate verification: Online or at facilitation centre — follow current year instructions.
- Merit list publication: Your rank in the state quota list is published. Higher NEET score means better rank in your category.
- Choice filling: Choose your preferred medical colleges and branches (MBBS/BDS) in priority order.
- Allotment: Seats are allotted based on rank, category and availability.
- Reporting: Go to the allotted college with originals within the deadline.
