Your three options after Round 3 allotment
- Accept and Join — you are satisfied with the allotted college and branch. Report within the deadline with originals and fee payment.
- Freeze — you want this seat and do not wish to try for any improvement. No further round movement happens.
- Upward Movement (Slide / Float) — if the portal allows it that year, you can keep the allotted seat and also be considered for a better preference in a later phase. Read the exact instructions on the official TNEA portal for 2026.
Documents to carry when reporting
- Round 3 allotment order (printed)
- 10th and 12th mark sheets (originals)
- Transfer Certificate
- Community and nativity certificates if applicable
- Aadhaar and photos
- Fee payment proof (bank receipt or DD)
Mistakes to avoid
- Missing the reporting deadline — seat will be cancelled
- Paying fees to a personal number — use only official college channels
- Assuming you can negotiate branch inside the college — TNEA allotment is final on branch
