MCC NEET UG 2026 Registration: Checklist for Tamil Nadu Students
As of 4 August 2026, major education updates said MCC NEET UG 2026 counselling registration for All India Quota and related central counselling streams was scheduled to begin around 5 August 2026 on mcc.nic.in. Windows move — confirm the live timetable on the official site before you act.
This checklist is for Tamil Nadu families who may use AIQ and state counselling. Mixing portals is the number-one confusion this week.
Who usually registers on MCC
Qualified NEET UG candidates seeking seats under AIQ / central university / AIIMS-JIPMER related streams / deemed pathways as listed in that year’s MCC notice. State quota MBBS/BDS in Tamil Nadu still follows TN Medical Selection rules separately.
Registration prep list
- NEET roll number, application number, date of birth
- NEET scorecard / admit details as asked
- Class 10 and 12 certificates
- Photo, signature, photo ID
- Category / PwBD / other certificates if applicable
- Payment method for registration/security fees (amount differs by category and deemed rules)
Simple steps (always match the live portal)
- Open only the official MCC site.
- Start NEET UG counselling registration with your credentials.
- Upload clear documents.
- Pay the prescribed fee within the payment window.
- Later: choice filling and locking as per schedule.
TN students: do not forget the second calendar
Even if you register on MCC, keep watching TN state counselling dates. Rules for Freeze/Float on MCC do not automatically rewrite TN state buttons. Read TN vs MCC rules 2026.
Fee caution
Security deposits and registration fees have refund rules that depend on participation and round behaviour. Read the MCC fee notice before paying. Do not pay a private “AIQ registration agent.”
Before you open MCC registration
- NEET scorecard PDF ready
- Photo and signature in the exact size MCC asks this year
- Category certificate scanned clearly if applicable
- Email and mobile that parents also can access
AIQ vs Tamil Nadu state — decide priority early
Many TN students register for both All India Quota (MCC) and state counselling. Dates can overlap. Decide which seat type is Plan A for your family fee and city preference before the first freeze/float deadline. Do not wait for midnight arguments.
Registration mistakes that waste seats
- Wrong category / wrong password recovery email
- Uploading blurred certificates
- Missing the payment confirmation screenshot
- Assuming state registration automatically covers AIQ (it does not)
