What is DigiLocker?
DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) is a Ministry of Electronics and IT platform. It stores official government-issued documents linked to your Aadhaar. You do not store documents yourself — government departments push them to your account.
How to set up
- Go to digilocker.gov.in or download the DigiLocker app
- Register with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Verify with OTP
- Your account is ready
Documents you can find on DigiLocker
- 10th mark sheet (from Tamil Nadu Board / CBSE)
- 12th mark sheet (TNBSE / CBSE)
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Driving license
For TNEA and NEET counselling
DigiLocker documents are accepted in lieu of photocopies in many cases. However, colleges may still require originals on joining day. Check the specific instruction in your allotment order. DigiLocker reduces the risk of carrying originals everywhere during the verification process.
