Documents to carry (originals plus photocopies)
- 10th mark sheet and certificate
- 12th mark sheet
- Transfer certificate from school
- Community certificate (if applicable)
- Nativity certificate (if applicable)
- First graduate certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card
- Passport size photos (6-10 copies — carry more than you think you need)
- TNEA application printout and payment receipt
- Any other certificate mentioned in the official information booklet
Practical tips
- Keep originals in a transparent file folder, photocopies in a separate set
- Arrive early — long queues are common
- Carry water, snacks, and a phone charger or power bank
- Know your application number by heart
- Do not carry valuables unnecessarily
Process at the centre
Token number is issued. Documents are checked by officials. Any mismatch in name or date of birth may require you to return with a corrected document. Do not argue at the counter — get the issue resolved through proper channels.
